The Practice has a team to take care of you. This includes additional, and sometimes more specialised, support. We ask that you are open to the idea of seeing other health professionals to support you.

Patient Advisors (previously Receptionists) | help with: healthcare navigation, appointment and home visit requests, transportation arrangements, sick note requests, enquiries about results and new patient and on-line registrations |
Medical Secretaries | help with: referrals |
Prescription Clerks | help with: prescription queries |
Clinical Pharmacists | help with: medication reviews and queries |
Practice Nurses | help with: wellness monitoring, living with chronic diseases support, minor injuries, family planning, immunisations, travel injections, wound assessment etc |
Health Care Assistants | help with: ECGs & blood pressure monitoring, B12 & flu injections, health checks and initial respiratory checks |
Advanced Nurse Practitioners | help with: diagnosing, referring & prescribing for many day-to-day ailments such as chest infections, rashes, urine infections, stomach aches etc and liaison with care homes |
Locum GPs | help with: on the day GP appointments, visits and telephone consultations |
Usual GP | co-ordinates your care and consults on complex needs such as end of life care |
Paramedics | work alongside GPs providing home visits and in-surgery consultations |
Social Prescriber | assists you to make positive changes to your health and well-being and can provide links to local activities and services. |

Doctors
Clinical Team
The GPs are supported by a diverse clinical team that includes Advance Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Mental Health Nurse and a Social Prescriber.
These staff work at both the Sandown and Shanklin branches providing various clinics as well as working in our Urgent Assessment Centre (based at the Sandown branch) for appropriate urgent same day services.
Wider Practice Team
Our organisations management team includes our Business Manager (Jason McLean) and Practice Manager (Karen Hermans).
As Practice Manager, Karen is supported by Ryan Francis who is our Deputy Practice Manager, and Jo McLean who is the day to day Operations Manager for the Shanklin Branch.
Other dedicated teams include , Patient Advisors, Data/Admin, Prescription Clerks, Medical Secretaries and an Audit Clerk.
