Appointments

Routine appointments

If you are aged 16 or over, the easiest way to request a routine appointment is by using Rapid Health, our secure online system.

Rapid Health helps us understand your symptoms and make sure you get the right care. You may be offered an appointment straight away. If not, a member of our team will review your request and contact you.

You can fill in the form using your own device or at a kiosk in the practice.

If you are not able to use the form yourself, you can:

  • Call us on 01983 862000

Appointments for the following must still be booked by phone or in person:

  • Patients under the age of 16

  • Nurse or Healthcare Assistant appointments (such as blood tests, wound care, vaccinations, or long-term condition reviews)

  • Home visit requests

Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Urgent Appointments

If you need an urgent appointment and are aged 16 or over, please use Rapid Health, our secure online system.

There is no separate urgent appointment system. Rapid Health asks you questions about your health problem and decides how quickly you need to be seen based on your answers.

Depending on your need, you may:

  • Be offered an appointment straight away

  • Have your request reviewed by a clinician before being contacted

  • Be given advice or directed to another service that can help

You can submit a request using your own device, or at a kiosk in the waiting room.

If you are not able to use the form yourself, you can:

  • Call us on 01983 862000

If you are under the age of 16, or need a nursing appointment or a home visit, please call the practice.

Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Cancelling or Changing Your Appointment

If you no longer need your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer it to another patient.

You can cancel or amend your appointment in one of the following ways:

  • Use the link in your Rapid Health confirmation email – this is the quickest and easiest way to cancel or change your appointment. It updates your medical record automatically.

  • Phone us on 01983 862000 at any time and leave a voicemail. Please clearly state:

    • Your full name

    • Date of birth

    • The date and time of your appointment

  • Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message, if you received one.

  • Use our online form if you do not have your confirmation email:

Please help us reduce missed appointments by cancelling as soon as you can.

Request an Appointment Online

If you are aged 16 or over, you must now use Rapid Health, our secure online system, to request all GP appointments and submit administrative queries.
This applies to both urgent and routine care – there is no separate urgent booking process.

Rapid Health will ask questions about your symptoms or request and guide you to the most appropriate care based on clinical need.

This service is available during practice opening hours.
You can complete the form using your own device or by using one of our kiosks at the practice.

You can use Rapid Health to:

  • Request help for a new or ongoing health concern

  • Ask about test results or hospital referrals

  • Request a fit note (sick note)

  • Update your contact details

  • Ask for medication advice

  • Request a repeat prescription

Once submitted, your request will be reviewed.
In some cases, you may be offered an appointment straight away. In other cases, a clinician will review your request and contact you.
We aim to respond by the end of the next working day. Some admin queries may take longer to process.
